How to Find work in the film business, Part 3

None

Figure out where you fit in the film business. Not everyone has to be an actor. 1. If you're super creative and artistic you may want to work in the art department. If organization is your middle name, the best place for you may be the production office. If you love meeting new people and going new places, the locations department may be best for you. 2. If none of those jobs sound good, film production may be right for you. You can be a caterer, hair stylist, make up artist, and a ton of other everyday jobs. 3. The next step is to visit a production office. Avoid Mondays, late in the day on Friday, and the lunch hour. There's no need to wear a suit, but you should look presentable and professional. Be sure to bring your card and resume with your photo on the back. 4. Once you get to the office, ask if you can see the APOC (assistant production office coordinator). If he or she is not available, ask for their name and number so you can set up a meeting. You can also talk to the assistant in the department where you're seeking employment.
