To achieve success in the entertainment business you must first understand the business. Who are the movers and shakers? How did they get to where they are? Without understanding the fundamentals of the entertainment business you won't be able to scratch the surface. 2. First look locally. Want to know if you really have talent? Check into local theater groups, production companies, and agencies to get your feet wet. If you're getting positive feedback and gaining experience, you're on the right track. 3. Get a job to support yourself while you're working towards your big break. A flexible job like being a waiter, will allow you to earn money while you go to auditions and get your career in the entertainment industry going. If you have steady income, you're more likely to keep going to auditions and working towards your goal instead of giving up and getting a "real job."
